The windham textile and history museum serves to collect, perserve and interpret local and regional history and to educate visitors and school children about 19th and early 20th century industrial and cultural heritage.

The museum is open yearround and attracts about 7000 visitors annually and over 110 classes from 70 schools. The museum operates with one staff person about 25 active volunteers and one contracted person.
