Arts & Culture

The organization serves as the hub for over 450 northern california ethnic dance companies. Programs include the annual san francisco ethnic dance festival, which ran for three weekends in june 2015 reaching over 7,000 people. In november, 70 110 dance groups (2000+ artists) audition and 25 35 groups are selected for the june festival. The annual auditions are open to the public, with children 12 and under attending free of charge attracting 3,000 5,000 people over the four days. The organization also presents a free monthly dance series at san francisco city hall, which attended by 3,100 people in 2015. The programs are supported by city revenue, corporate and foundation funding, individual donors, and box office receipts.
