Alliance franaise is a non-profit, non governmental cultural and educational association and is headed by a franco-american board of directors. Alliance franaise offers a wide variety of french courses, tests and diplomas, social and cultural activities, including lectures, concerts, films, and, exhibits.

Arts & Culture , Cultural & Ethnic Awareness

The entities largest accomplishments are 3 fold and consist of: (1) a french language school to offer classes in beginning, intermediate and advanced french to students of all ages. The entity offers four 11 week sessions of classes to 170-200 students per session. (2) the entity holds 8 meetings each year where a speaker addresses the membership & guest (in french) on some aspect of french life, culture or history. (3) cash prizes are given to the top 4 competitors as well as prizes of dictionaires, cassettes, medals & certificates to students who demonstrate outstanding proficiency in the french language.
