Arws is committed to helping solve the feral cat problem in the city of plattsburgh and surrounding communities. Arws practices trap, neuter, release (tnr) which involves trapping, paying for spay/neuter, and releasing the neutered animals back to their home colonies. We also participate in finding homes through adoption for homeless cats and kittens who have been socialized and are ready for adoption into homes. Trap-neuter-return (tnr), the humane approach to addressing community cat populations, works. It saves cats' lives and is effective. Tnr improves the lives of cats, addresses community concerns, reduces complaints about cats, and stops the breeding cycle.

During 2017, arws was responsible for spaying/neutering nearly 400 cats in the city of plattsburgh community. Arws was successful in placing many of these spayed and neutered cats in loving homes through our association with pet smart, the pet supply national chain.
