The purpose of the organization is to provide housing, veterinary care, and adoption for unwanted, abandoned, injured or stray cats; to promote spaying and neutering as a means of animal population control; and to educate the public about the health and training needs of companion animals. To this purpose, animal welfare league provides a direct care program, a low cost spay/neuter program, a pets helping pets program and the winston norek memorial fund. During the fiscal year ended 8/31/17, the agency adopted 494 cats.
