The american chesapeake club is a non-profit organization dedicated to foster and encourage the breeding of the chesapeake bay retriever in waterfowland upland game shooting, to improve the breed for the accomplishment of such aims and purposes, to lay down a standard, to encourage the holding of dog shows and trials, and to foster other activities suited to the dissemination of knowledge concerning the breed.
