Programs

Emergency Boarding and Foster Care Program: Only 12% of domestic violence shelters accept pets, yet pets left behind are often the victims of retaliation by an abuser. This program provides emergency safe shelter in a boarding situation or foster home, as well as any needed veterinary care, for animal victims of domestic violence while their human guardians seek safety themselves. The goal is to reunite pets with their families once a new safe living arrangement has been established. We maintain a 24-hour crisis hotline and work actively with family violence programs and law enforcement throughout the state.
