Zoo miami foundation provides zoo miami and its visitors educational and membership programming, volunteer service, marketing expertise and monetary contribution. Through our educational programs, zoo miami foundation proudly served over 300,000 children and families during fy 2017. Zoo miami foundation provided hands on classroom programs, walking tours, school and community outreach programs, an award winning zoo magnet program for high school students, and week-long camps during the spring and summer. Zoo miami foundation provided and allocated financial support to zoo miami of over $1. 5 million as well as over 38,000 hours of service. Also, through our marketing efforts we helped bring in almost 1 million visitors to zoo miami and promoted the zoo to the south florida community at large.
