Animal Welfare Society, Inc., is an independent, 501c3 non-profit, non-destroy organization founded in 1965 that provides food, shelter and veterinary care to homeless and abandoned dogs and cats while working to place them in responsible and caring homes. AWS provides rescue services to animals from Bridgewater, Brookfield, New Milford, Roxbury, Washington, as well as from high-kill shelters outside our area.
