Animal Guardians Horse Rescue Inc. serves as a rescue, rehabilitation, retraining, rehoming & retirement equine sanctuary for unwanted, homeless, abused, abandoned, & impounded equines. Many of our horses are seniors and horses with special needs. We serve as a member of the HSUS Safe Stalls Network Program, The Homes For Horses Coalition, & ASPCA Horse Action Team. We are a Parelli Foundation Natural Horsemanship Education Grant Recipient. We participate in the HSUS Forever Foundation Natural Horsemanship Training Program. We are developing a program to offer Horse Powered Reading Experiential Learning to youth in our community to promote literacy through interactions with our horses. We serve the community through educational outreach & adoptions promotions for the Ventura and Los Angeles County Animal Services Agencies. Our long-term goal is to become an accredited equine retirement sanctuary with the Global Federation of Animal Sanctuaries.
