Mission

Our mission is to enhance the qualify of life of current and former members of the us armed forces, to enhance the quality of life of animals currently living in animal shelters, and to reduce the number of animals currently living in animal shelters - all by providing free or discounted pet adoptions to active duty, reserve, and veterans of the us armed forces and their dependents; and to foster, encourage and engage in, by all proper and legitimate means within the context of the purposes stated above, certain charitable and similar causes for the public welfare.

Programs

Animals for armed forces foundation sponsored 1 special pet adoption events in 2017 for current and former military members and their immediate families. Memorial day weekend (may 2017) - our event occurred over memorial day weekend in 2017, and 14 animal shelter organizations participated with us for this event. As a result of our memorial day weekend event, we had 1,071 animals adopted in total at our 14 participating shelters with 339 of those being adopted by military families. This resulted in our foundation donating $45,101 to cover these adoption fees for the military families. The breakdown of these totals by shelter are as follows:1.
