Founded in 1998, Acres of Love has rescued over 500 children who have been orphaned or abandoned. An established Republic of South Africa (RSA) non-profit organization and a California non-profit (501c3), Acres of Love operates more than 30 Family Homes throughout Johannesburg and Cape Town, South Africa. Instead of an institutional approach, we believe children belong in families! Our single family Family Homes exist in suburban neighborhoods, close to important amenities like hospitals, clinics, and excellent schools. Offering each child the very best medical, emotional, educational, and nutritional care in a family setting enables them to thrive. Each Family Home has long-term, full-time House Parents, and children grow up in a family of siblings with an extensive support system.
